I not sure if Bob Bowman started this website but, I know his name is on it. We hope, by the way, that Bowman helps turn Congress around by winning a seat in Florida. I am not sure what is so important about finding out Foley had sex with somone 21 years old. This is almost as bad as making a big deal over President Clinton and another adult. What should be noted is how often Republicans have tried to show themselves as some moral righteous party when they are human beings first who decision to belong to a party has no bearing on how godly they are. On top of that they attack people like the gay community as use the attacks to try and win elections to cover up other scandulous acts they commit. Republicans are hypocrates should be the headlines.

Each week I say this has been the worst week for democracy. But, I must say it again this week. I am sick and tired of hearing the right wing employ rhetoric extolling democratic values while pushing legislation that bretrays every democratic principle. I am afraid to see what they wil do next. The senator I am disapointed with the most is Senator Jay Rockefeller from West Virginia. He's not up for re-election this year. In addition I have received emails for Senator Stebanow form Michigan requesting money to help her win re-election. Why would I now? It seems like everyone sells out. Maybe there is some strategy I can't see.

Call your representatives today and encourage them to first, vote against passing this torture bill, and second, filabuster this bill.

1. Allow the President to detain anyone
2. Torture them
3. Never let them see a lawyer
4. Absolve the anyone who have committed these actions in the past.

Democrats have already said they aren't goiong to oppose it.

The

Tahoma Progressive Media Conference

planning commitee met September 13 getting ready to change the media in the South Sound area with the conference which will take place October 7. The main areas targeted are roughly public access television, print media, the internet, documentaries and public radio. The path is being paved for the distibution of more accurate facts and destroying ignorance.
